Vylyan Amphora Cabernet Franc, 2020

Cabernet Franc is an important variety for the winery, which is why they believe that it’s worth discovering the different faces of the variety through different ageing methods. They are keen to experiment, sometimes combining several different ageing methods to enhance the complexity of the wine. From the Mandolás vineyard, this Cabernet Franc is made from selected grapes, with 20 days on skins, 12 days of maceration, and no pressing. It was then racked into amphora and aged for 10 months. The wine reveals the pure varietal characteristics of Cabernet Franc and shows the consumer a lesser known side of the variety.
